With door closed you have protection from wind-driven rain no matter its direction. Open the front door panel and roll away the porch walls in fine weather for the free-standing mode that reveals the inner tent. This has a rainproof door with two-way zip and a three-layer window comprising a mesh panel with PVC behind and a curtain for privacy. 

Too windy or want some shade? Either use the front door panel with optional tarp poles or peg out at an angle to protect the inner tent. This provides occupants with a choice of ways to deal with changing weather conditions. The inner’s simpler rear U-door also has a two-way zip for opening options − take out the inner and you get a handy ‘gazebo style’ day shelter for work, rest and play. 

This clever design opens the possibility for use as a vehicle awning for a campervan, off-roader, van or SUV. Just pull the vehicle alongside front or back to add valuable space in which to sleep or socialise when the inner is removed.  The Cobra Stone 5 becomes a light, quick-pitching shelter that addresses the needs of today’s adventurers who are using such vehicles for events, to access multiple outdoor pursuits, snatched weekends away, or to explore farther afield.
