Our journey began back in 1973 when Klaus Robens and his wife applied his extensive knowledge of the outdoors and the industry to found the company that bears his name.
Operating from the cellar of their Wentorf home in Germany, they used their front lawn to display Robens tents. Their hard work paid off and by 1988 Robens was so successful that the company moved into newly built premises and began work with industrial designer Olaf Bracht.
Olaf shared Klaus’ passion for the outdoors and this enabled Robens to offer technical products perfectly designed for outdoor life and, thus, cemented its success as a brand with a focus on high quality at reasonable prices.
Robens was acquired by Oase Outdoors in 2000 and the brand went through a relaunch in 2012, including the new logo. Today it continues to move ever forward to help people fulfil their passion for the outdoors across a wide spectrum of pursuits. Thanks to ever expanding ranges and more focussed products Robens is the perfect partner for life outdoors where nature rules.
