Zenia Maltha
I am 25 years old, and I study to being a nurse. In addition to this, I have a nature and outdoor podcast with my boyfriend. The podcast’s name is Naturpod. I work half part as an influencer on Instagram and with my blog. The outdoor life has always been a big part of my life, and I love being able to spend as much time as possible in nature. That's what it's all about.
Why do you love the outdoors?
My interest in outdoor life has been there since I was a kid. I grew up with my toes buried in the grass and sleeping under the open sky. When I was in the military in 2013, it really boosted my adult bushcraft and outdoor life. The interest in making a fire, staying warm in winter and cooking on it just got way bigger, and since that time, I have spent over half of the year outside.
I love being outside because it gives calms my mind. During a busy day, I need something that can unplug my brain and just be. And that is what nature do for me. It restart my head.
Besides this, nature gives me experiences and adventures that I can only find by being outside. I get time to reflect and develop my personal self.
What do you want to achieve from your adventures?
I get challenged on almost all my adventures. Whether it's a hike in the Norwegian mountains, or Croatia's hot mountains. It all challenges me mentally, in its own way.
In addition to this, I want to inspire others to come out. Out in the wild and use what we have and find. Everyday there are too many expectations for us, and I like that those expectations do not excites when we are out on adventures in nature. For a trip out in the nature, is always an adventure.
What is your current adventure or do you have any exciting planned?
My next adventure is a 7 day hike in the Norwegian mountains. The tour takes place in January where there is snow to the knees. It becomes a whole new way to challenge myself physically and mentally. Lightweight packing and dry food for 7 days will be really exciting and I expect to experience new sides of myself on the trip.
What are the highs of your trips?
My highlight of my trips is when I manages to completely disconnect my brain and just be. No phones, no interruptions. Just me and nature.
