The Prospector captures the spirit held in those sepia images of old American prospectors and pioneers. It combines our technical cotton with a sturdy steel A-frame and ridge pole for stability and comfort. The retro good looks are enhanced by practical features like an elasticated stovepipe port and a zip flap in the sewn-in groundsheet for safe positioning the optional stove. Robens Tests
Robens Wind Test: The determination of the performance of a Robens tent in wind is based on the knowledge and technique available to Robens at the time of testing. During the test we register the maximum (MAX) speed impact a tent was subjected and the average (AVG) wind speed at which structural instability occurred. This may appear as a broken/deformed pole, or the collapse of the tent and subsequent return to shape when the wind drops. At no point was any form of catastrophic failure experienced up to the maximum wind speed.
HydroTex® Polycotton delivers top technical performance and comfort. The durable tight-weave fabric has a water repellent treatment that assists rain run off the tent walls. As the rain gets heavier, its fibres swell to form a waterproof seal. Its UV-inhibitor treatment helps it last for years with care. This superb breathable fabric maintains the tent’s microclimate by eliminating condensation and keeping the internal temperature cool in summer and warm when temperatures fall.;
